Terry Allen Thiele, 67, of Sioux City passed away unexpectedly Monday August 13, 2018 at his home.
Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Saturday, August 18, 2018 at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Neil Peck, L.S. will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation with the family present will be from 4:00 – 8:00 P.M. Friday with a Prayer Service at 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
Terry was born July 2, 1951 in Sioux City, Iowa; he was the son of Alvin and Patricia “Pat” (Thompson) Thiele. Terry grew up in Sioux City attended Sioux City Community Schools and graduated from Sioux City Central High School in the class of 1970. Terry married Donna Lynn Hawkins June 17, 1972 in Sioux City. Terry spent 33 years working for WA Klinger before he retired.
Terry was a longtime member of the Elks Lodge #112. He served as the President of the Laborers Local 427 for many years. He enjoyed golfing, fishing and camping. In his retirement he enjoyed wood working and making bird houses. During his youth Terry was a Boy Scout and an Eagle Scout.
Survivors include his wife, Donna, of Sioux City; three sons: Jason Thiele and his fiancé Debbie of Sioux City, Cory and his wife Jill of Waukee, Iowa, Seth and his wife Joleen of Sioux City; five brothers and sisters: Lana Runge of Sioux City, Tom Thiele and his wife Jerri of Jefferson, South Dakota, Tanna Theeler and John Walters of Sioux City, Trudy Smith of Sioux City and Tracy Thiele and his wife Carla of Harrisburg, South Dakota; eight grandchildren: Trey Thiele and his wife Kaylin, Ashlyn Thiele, Peyton Thiele, Kailynn Thiele, Jocelyn Thiele, Sophia Thiele, Ryker Thiele and Lauren Nacke.
Terry was preceded in death by his parents.
