   Rose M. Bocian, 102, of Sioux City died Saturday, August 11, 2018 at a Sioux City hospital.

   Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, August 14, 2018, at Mater Dei Parish – Immaculate Conception in Sioux City.  Entombment will be at Calvary Cemetery.  Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Monday with family present 6 to 8 p.m. and a Vigil Service at 7 p.m. at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel.  Online condolences may be expressed at www.meyerbroschapels.com.

   Rose, the daughter of Frank and Mary (Naso) Pope, was born November 29, 1915 in Sioux City.  She graduated from Central High School in 1935.

   On July 7, 1940, Rose was united in marriage to Fred T. Bocian in Sioux City and they were blessed with two sons: Paul and Fred, Jr.  Rose owned and operated Rose Marie Beauty Shop in Sioux City for twenty years until retiring in 1977.

   Rose was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and was active in the Altar Society.  She did volunteer work at the Bargain Center and Soup Kitchen.  She enjoyed playing Bingo, cooking, gardening, and socializing with friends and relatives.

   Rose is survived by two sons: Paul Bocian and Fred, Jr. Bocian (special friend Vicky); three grandchildren: Michael, Bryan, and Shelley; three great grandchildren: Sage, Hanna, and Chase; siblings: Tom Pope, Frank Pope, Mary (John) Corio, Josephine (Frank) Blair, Anne (Gene) Bostic, and Katie (Phil) Codina.

   She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Fred; and siblings: Pat Pope, Nick Pope, John Pope, and Millie Scurrso.
