Emily was born June 27, 2017 in Glendale, Arizona. Though her time on earth was short, Emily inspired many people with her courage and strength. She was a blessing to her family and loved by many. Emily did not have an easy life she fought for every day she was here. Her first 97 days were spent at the hospital baffling doctors with her symptoms. She was finally stable enough to come home, however, doctors weren’t very confident she would survive longer than 6 months. She fought her hardest to prove them wrong. She became alert and would make small movements. She would give kisses and even started making noises, cries and even a few words “oh, Mom and no”. She had a way of communication in her own way. She got her attention by setting off her monitors when she wanted to be held. She would cover her mouth when she was done being suctioned. She knew what she wanted and what she liked and disliked (red, she hated red).
Emily was an amazing young child. She pushed us out of our comfort zones and changed our worlds. She brought us closer with our friends, neighbors and then acquaintances. She loved to get dressed up and show off her pretty dresses. She looked amazing in everything. Everyone who came in contact with her fell in love with her. She motivated us to do better, be better and learn what she needed. She passed away peacefully in her father’s arms, just the way she entered the world. Keep Shining my beautiful girl.
