Eva "Margaret" King

Eva “Margaret” King, 88, of Sioux City, passed away after a prolonged illness, Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at Sunrise Retirement Home.  A funeral service will be held Monday, July 30th at 10:00 a.m. at First Evangelical Free Church.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.  Burial will follow at Correctionville City Cemetery.  Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel is handling the arrangements. 

Margaret was born on November 1, 1929 in Correctionville, Iowa to Donald and Lillian (Bentley) LeFebvere.  She grew up in Danbury, Iowa and later moved to Sioux City where she attended Central High School.  Margaret was united in marriage to Ooran King on October 27, 1952 in Sioux City.  He preceded her in death on June 4, 1985.  Following the death of her husband, Margaret who had never driven, obtained her first drivers license at the age of 57; something she was very proud of.  Margaret was an active member of Harvey Oaks Baptist Church in Omaha and at the First Evangelical Free Church where she coordinated the crafts for Sunday school and as served as a deaconess.  She enjoyed spending time with her family and growing flowers in her garden.

Those left to honor her memory include her 3 sons: Douglas (Paula) King, Omaha, Dennis (Brenda) King, Sioux City, David (Larena) King, Lee Summit, MO; 9 grandchildren: Aaron, Michelle and Holly King, Chad, Olivia, Nolan, and Alex King, and Kendall and Addison King; 2 great-grandchildren:  Bri and Madison; siblings: Richard (Shirley) LeFebvere, Sioux City, Carol Bahney, Sioux City, Roger LeFebvere, Sioux City, Diane (Kenneth) Abraham, Claremore, OK.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; sister Wilma Tjebben; brother, Raymond LeFebvere; infant sister Shirley and infant brother Bobby.
