Kimberly Kaye Schaefer (White) went to be with the Lord, July 16, 2018 at the age of 50 in Denver Colorado. Kim was born March 21, 1968 in Sioux City, Iowa to Steve & Gail (Graves) White. As a young child, Kimberly was given a terminal diagnosis that had doctors astonished every year of her life that she continued to thrive and beat the odds. She was an artist, with God-given talent to paint and draw. Her dogs and pets brought joy to her life and she loved all animals. If you knew Kim, you knew her faith and love for the Lord was electric. Many people became believers through Kim’s discipleship. It was inspiring to see her optimism as she survived her disease with grace, compassion and love for others. She knew her life had a divine purpose and she never took a day for granted. Every time Kim came out of “hotel Hospice”, as she called it, we called it a miracle. After hitting the milestone of her 50th birthday, Kimberly prayed for God’s timing. Her will and faith were in the hands of the beholder. She yearned for her new body in heaven where she could finally be healed. This was God’s promise. She will live in our hearts and our stories for generations to come. Kim joins her mother Gail and grandparents, Alice and Russell White Sr. She is survived by her father and step-mother, Steve and Lori White; siblings, Clifton David, Rachel, Jacob, Mike, Amy and Briana, along with many nieces and nephews, countless friends and a supportive church family. The funeral is being held at Olinger Crown Hill Mortuary at 7777 W. 29th Ave. Wheat Ridge, Colorado on Thursday July 26th at 11 am. She will be laid to rest alongside her grandmother and great grand- parents in Sioux City, Iowa. Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel will assist with local arrangements. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Rock Community Christian Church 12472 W. Belleview Ave. Littleton, Colorado 80127
