Jack B. Farr, 85 of Sioux City, passed away on Monday, July 16, 2018 at his residence with family and is now celebrating eternal life with his wife and daughter. Funeral Services will be at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, July 21, 2018 at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Visitation, with the family present, will begin at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. www.meyerbroschapels.com Jack was born on December 23, 1932 in Sioux City to Don R. and Helen D. (Brooks) Farr. He received his education in the Sioux City Public Schools before serving his country in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict. Jack married Jean F. Lewis on October 3, 1952 in Sioux City. Following his honorable discharge where he received the National Defense Service Medal, Jack returned to Sioux City where he joined the crew at U.S. West as a building service attendant for over 27 years.
Jack is a past member of the Crescent Park United Methodist Church, and enjoyed his membership to the Monahan-Nelson American Legion Post #64.
Honorary Bearers for the service will be Rob Lurz, Christopher Freemont, Jason Schrier, and William Freemont.
