Jimmy L. Finnegan, 75, of Everly, IA, formally of Sioux City, passed away Wednesday, July 11 surrounded by his family. Per his wishes there will be no service. Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel is handling the arrangements.
Jimmy was born on September 9, 1942 in Sioux City to Thomas and LaVina (Miller) Finnegan. He was a lifelong resident of Sioux City and attended West Middle School. He served in the United States Navy from August 1960 until he was honorably discharged in September 1962. Jimmy held various jobs throughout his life. He retired from Schuster Trucking in LeMars. Iowa.
Those left to honor his memory include his siblings: Thomas Finnegan, of Sun City, AZ, Donald Finnegan of Glendale, AZ, LaDonna Kay Olsen of Everly, IA; 9 nieces and 4 nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, LaVina Rae Helm; and a niece Lori Madorive.
