Patricia Scherrman

Patricia “Pat” Scherrman, 81, of Sioux City passed away Thursday, July 5, 2018 at her residence after a lengthy illness. 

Services will be held at 10:30 A.M. Thursday, July 12, 2018 at St. Michael Catholic Church with Father David Hemann officiating.  Visitation will be Wednesday, July 11, 2018 from 5-8 P.M. with the family present from 6-8 P.M. and a Vigil Service at 7:00 P.M. at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel.  Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery.  Online condolences may be given at www.meyerbroschapels.com 

Pat was born May 16, 1937 in Omaha, NE, the daughter of Laurence and Irene (Grace) Esser.  She grew up in Omaha and graduated from Mercy High School.  Pat married Jack Scherrman on May 2, 1959 in Omaha.  To this union five children were born.  Pat and Jack provided foster care for infants for a number of years.  Pat was also involved in various community organizations, church ministries, and was active on the Carmelite Monastery Board. 

Survivors include her husband Jack Schermann on Sioux City; children:  Julie (Scott) Larson of Sioux City, Amy Sheriden of Des Moines, IA, Christopher (Tina) Scherrman of Lamoni, IA, and Debra (Rick) Morey of Sioux City; 16 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; and a brother Jim (Doris) Esser of Kansas City, MO. 

Pat was preceded in death by her parents and son Kevin Scherrman in November of 2017.
