Roger Miller

Roger F. Miller, 68 of Dakota Dunes, SD passed away on Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at his residence.

Services will be at 10:30 A.M. Monday at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel. Rev Daniel Rupp will officiate. Burial will be in St. Michael’s Cemetery in South Sioux City, NE. Visitation will be from 4:00 – 8:00 P.M. Sunday with the family present from 5:00 – 8:00 P.M. and a Vigil service at 7:00 P.M. all at the funeral home. Roger was born August 13, 1949 in Gordon, NE. He was the son of Francis and Beverly (Meadows) Miller. Roger’s family was in the construction business, so Roger grew up in many towns throughout the Midwest.

On Feb. 24, 1968, Roger married Linda Mahr in South Sioux City.

Roger worked in the road construction industry and he and Linda started Concrete Specialty in the 1970’s. He co-owned Bev’s on the River and The Hilton Garden Inn with his brother. His most recent endeavors were founding Table 32 and partnering in 1000 Degrees Pizza.

Roger supported several charities in the Siouxland area including the Shrine Circus and the Little Yellow Dog fundraiser.

Survivors include two daughters, Lisa Cloud and her husband Karl of Sioux City, Monica Miller of Sun City West, AZ; a sister, Lori Curry, and her husband, TC, of South Sioux City, NE; and two grandchildren, Beverly Cloud and Spencer Cloud. Roger is also survived by his former wife and best friend, Linda Miller of Sun City West, AZ.

Roger was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Larry Miller.
