Chad was born on August 7, 1971 to Clifford and Rhonda (Howe) Muecke in Sioux City, Iowa. Chad was raised cleaning crates, driving tractor, and carrying feed on the farm. Chad attended all 13 years at Hinton Community School. When he started his sports career he played football, basketball, ran track, and baseball, with baseball being his favorite as he was a 5-year player.

Chad attended WIT for his general education classes and then transferred to Sheldon to pursue Electrical Tech. He did a summer coop with Thompson Electric and worked for them for over 20 years. He also spent around 5 years at Van Ert, in Boyden.

He loved to work hard, fish, the New York Yankees, Dallas Cowboys, Boston Celtics but most important was his family and friends. Most of his friends were considered family and strangers were considered friends. Chad didn’t believe in the meaning of a stranger. Chad was a simple man who took pleasure in being with the earth and its people.

Chad was baptized and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church. His sponsors were his uncle Mike Muecke and Suz Kovarna. He married Candi Butler, to this union he loved Kylie and Seth Butler.  Together they had Trey and Trent (the twins) and Kenadi Muecke. Later on he met the true love of his life, Kim Coffee to this love he called Aspen, Anna, and Logan Coffee his children too!

As a true testament to his meaning of friends, Chad was blessed with the biggest benefit and true outpouring of what it means to be raised in a small town. Chad’s Circuit of Faith was created to Kick out his cancer. Many brothers and sisters of Union IBEW local 231 were in attendance. This group also showered Chad and his family with many pantry items.
