Robert Moore Finley

Robert Moore Finley, 81, of Sioux City passed away Sunday May 6, 2018 at a Sioux City nursing home. Memorial services will 3:00 p.m. Friday May 18, 2018 in the Chapel at Holy Spirit Retirement Home with Father Dennis Meinen officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time. Robert Moore Finley was born August 5, 1936 in Sioux City, Iowa the son of Claude and Grace (Hammel) Finley. Robert was raised in Sioux City and attended Sioux City Community Schools. Robert spent 40 years self employed as a carpet layer in the Sioux City area. He married Nadean “Dina” Heydon October 23, 2007 in Sioux City, Iowa. Robert was a former member of the Morningside Lodge 615 A.F. & A.M. , Shrine Chanters and Westlawn Presbyterian Church. In his free time Robert enjoyed reading and spending time with his grandchildren. Robert is survived by his wife Dina Finley of Sioux City, six daughters; Teri Mayhew, Cheri Farris, Sue Hall, Missy Gill, Rhonda Marie Dutra Gross all of Sioux City and Tonya Dutra of Omaha Nebraska. Two sons; Jason Dutra and Nathan Finley both of Alameda California. 19 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. One sister; Joan Corey and one brother; Jim Finley. Robert was preceded in death by his parents, one brother; Claude Finley and two sisters; Janice Benjamin and Jean Jones.
