Karol J. McPherson

Karol Jo Irvin-McPherson 3/30/1989 - 4/28/2018.  Baby girl Angel Hennessy McPherson 4/28/2018.
      Karol & unborn daughter Angel passed away unexpectedly 4/28/2018, due to complications from a very short illness at her place of residence in Sioux City, Iowa.

      Karol was born in Sioux City on March 30, 1989 to Gaylan Hammer of North Sioux City and Dena Irvin-Young of Sioux City. Karol was a lifetime resident of Sioux City where she went to school. She became a mother at a young age which halted her continuance of furthering her education. Being a single mother she made a career as a call center operator and she was one of the top in the company. She was very independent and made sure she provided every need for herself and her daughter. Karol met and fell in love with Anthony McPherson of California in 2010. They married and had children all of whom she loved and cherished from the depths of her soul.   

     Karol is survived by husband Anthony McPherson; 3 children:  Rebecca Young, Adrianna McPherson, and Antonio McPherson all of Sioux City; maternal grandmother Carol Godfrey; father Gaylan (Patricia) Hammer, mother Dena Irvin-Young; 4 brothers: Khristian Young of South Dakota, Paul (Heather) Hammer, Joe (Jessica) Hammer, Doug (Heather) Hammer, and one sister Erica (Hector) all of North Sioux City; her Auntie’s & Uncle's whom all have helped to raise her all in the same household and many close cousins.

      Karol Jo you will forever stay in our hearts and soul. Thank you dear Lord for gracing us all with her presence such a pure and amazing gift. Our beloved angels never to be forgotten R.I.P Karol Jo and baby Angel Hennessy. We love you.   

      Memorial services for Karol and Angel will be 4 p.m. Saturday, May 5, 2018, at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel (6200 Morningside Ave.).
