Nancy L. Freeman

July 6, 1949 — April 26, 2018

   Nancy L. Freeman, 68, of Sioux City passed away Thursday April 26, 2018 at her home with her family by her side. Memorial services will be 6 p.m. Tuesday May 1, 2018 at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel with the Rev. Liz Tucker of Riverside United Methodist officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time at the funeral home from 5 till 6 p.m.
   Nancy was born July 6 1949 in Sioux City the daughter of Keith D. and Harriet Beatrice (Roost) Cagley. She graduated from Sioux City Central High School. She was a lifelong Sioux City Resident. Nancy met her soul mate Raymond “Ray” Miller in high school, although they never married they were true soul mates until his death in 1977. Nancy was a dedicated caregiver for the elderly, she worked at Hallmark care center and Bickford Cottage as a CNA until she was no longer able to work, she loved the work that she did and her residents loved her and spoke very fondly of her. She loved her dogs Harley and Buddy and cat Rasco.    She spent her time caring for them, planting flowers and doing crosswords.
   Nancy is survived by two children; Daniel Miller of Sioux City, Jodi and her husband Bob Schlumbaum of Sioux City, 10 grandchildren; Kori, Kayla, Krystyra, Austin, Matthew, Michael, Brayden, Makenna, Alex and Hannah. Six great grandchildren; Haley, Anthony, Aiden, Ava, Shay and Khloe     She was preceded in death by her parents, Brothers; Michael “Micky” Rausch, Richard “Rick” Cagley. Sister; Jacqueline “Jackie” Blassl, granddaughter Marissa Miller and the love of her life Raymond “Ray” Miller.
   Nancy felt that her greatest accomplishment was her two children Dan Miller and Jodi Schlumbaum.
