Shirley H. Martens, 76, of Sioux City passed away Sunday, Mar. 28, 2018 at her home

Services will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, Mar. 28th at Mater Dei Parish – Immaculate Conception Worship Site. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Tuesday with the family present 6 - 8 p.m. and a vigil service at 7 p.m. at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel. Condolences may be sent online to www.meyerbroschapels.com. Shirley was born Aug. 4, 1941 in Le Mars, IA to Leo J. and Bertha B. (Paskert) Eufers. She graduated from Bishop Heelan High School in 1959. On Feb. 17, 1962 she married Marven M. Martens in Sioux City.

Shirley enjoyed attending country music concerts with her children. Her family meant everything to her.

She was a devoted Catholic and longtime member of Mater Dei Parish.

Survivors include a daughter, Shelly Martens and a son, Jeffrey Martens both of Sioux City; sister, Marjeanne (Dwaine) Gastro of Sioux City; brothers-in-law, Daniel P. McCarthy of Sioux City and Bedford Robinson of Lawton, IA; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and sisters, Marilyn McCarthy and Donna Robinson.
