Larry was born the son of Elmer and Blanche (Peck) Beauchene on July 9, 1930 in Jefferson, South Dakota. He graduated from Sloan High School. Larry worked for Mobil Oil where he retired after 25 years as a senior auditor.
He was a proud husband devoted to his wife, Betty, for 67 years. He loved her of course, but better than that he chose her day after day. He was a very loving, caring, and giving man known as “Sonny” for many years. He welcomed everyone and really enjoyed giving back to others. He loved the outdoors, fishing and teaching his grandkids how to ski.
He honorably served his country in the United States Army. Larry and his wife volunteered at Pleasant View Care Center in Whiting for 25 years.
Larry is survived by his wife, Betty Beauchene; two sons, Randy and Richard Beauchene; four sisters, Shirley, Bonnie, Joyce, and Delores; five grandchildren, Blake, Lindsey, Casey, Lance, and Katie; and ten great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Evelyn.
