Frances R. Rameden, 86, of Sioux City passed away Tuesday, Mar. 20, 2018 at The Heritage at Northern Hills.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, Mar. 23rd at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church with Pastor Kenny Hsu and Pastor Henry Witte officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be the hour prior to the service at the church. Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel is handling arrangements. Condolences may be sent online to www.meyerbroschapels.com.
Frances was born Jan. 12, 1932 in Crawford Co., IA the daughter of Ernest and Edna (Judy) Keesling. That same year she was baptized on May 12th at Zion Lutheran Church in Denison, IA. On April 14th of 1946 she was confirmed at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Stockholm Township. She graduated from Denison High School in 1949.
On Feb. 18, 1958 Frances was united in marriage to David Rameden at Faith Lutheran Church in Deloit, IA. He passed away on Jan. 11, 2001 in Sioux City.
Frances was employed in the optical business for 30 years.
As a longtime member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Sioux City, she served in her church in several capacities. Frances also enjoyed quilting, embroidery, jigsaw puzzles, Bible study, crossword puzzles and baseball.
Survivors include her brother, Wayne Keesling and wife, Pearl; brothers-in-law, Kenneth Aldag and Fred Lettau; sister-in-law, Helen Schultz; and many nephews, nieces and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; brothers, Earl Keesling and Ervin Keesling; sisters, Cleo Peters, Alice Newmann and Erna Mae Aldag; and an infant niece.
Memorials may be made in her name to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church and/or School.
