Beverly J. Kehrberg

May 12, 1928 — March 19, 2018

   Beverly J. Kehrberg, 89, of Sioux City, IA died March 19, 2018 at Embassy Care Center in Sergeant Bluff.

   Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, May 19, 2018 at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel (6200 Morningside Ave.) with Pastor Jill Clem officiating.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.  Private family burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery.  Online condolences may be expressed at www.meyerbroschapels.com.

   Beverly, the daughter of Arthur and Hazel (Harrington) Allan, was born in Norfolk, NE.  She graduated from Moville High School in Moville, IA then attended Morningside College to receive her teaching certificate.

   On March 12, 1949, Beverly was united in marriage to Russell Kehrberg and two daughters were born to this union.  Beverly and Russell later divorced.

   Beverly taught country school around Anthon and Kingsley, IA and worked at Zenith Radio and Donnelly Marketing in Sioux City.  For many years, she was a bartender at Swede’s Lounge and prior to retirement she worked as a classroom aide at WITCC in the G.E.D. classroom.

   Beverly was a member of Rustin Avenue United Methodist Church and was a member of the Eagle’s Club in Sioux City where she served as auxiliary president.

   Beverly is survived by two daughters: Pat Kingsley of Auburn, WA and Barbara (Dennis) Bell of Sioux City, IA; grandchildren: Jessica Maldonado (Derek Sasabuchi) of Rancho Cucamonga, CA, Russell Bell (Angela Clayton) of Milford, IA, Robert (Michelle) Bell of Norristown, PA, and Mark (Rachel) Conwell of Columbus, OH; great grandchildren: Rebekah Bell, Navaeh Bell, Kelton Bell and Olivia Sasabuchi; sisters: Jean (George) Mason of Blanchester, OH, Janet Wakeman of Hawarden, IA and Karen (Kenn) Vaul of Sioux City, IA; brother, George Allan of Moville, IA; and many nieces and nephews.

   She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Robert Allan.

   Memorials may be directed to Rustin Ave. United Methodist Church or Siouxland Humane Society.
