Carol Sue Nuzum, 75 of Sioux City passed away on Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at a Sioux City hospital following a lengthy illness.
Abiding by Carol’s wishes, her body will be cremated and memorial services will be at 7:00 P.M. Friday at the Nelson-Berger Northside Chapel 822 Jennings St., Sioux City. Visitation with the family present will be from 6:00 – 7:00 P.M. Friday at the funeral home. The family requests that you wear something yellow to the service as that was Carol’s favorite color.
Carol was born September 2, 1942 in Ute, IA. She was the daughter of Howard and Beatrice (Coate) Nuzum. Carol grew up in the Moorhead, Iowa area and attended school in Moorhead.
Carol worked at Metz Baking Company for several years and then did demos at various retail stores. Carol enjoyed cooking and baking; she loved sharing this with her family. Carol Sue was full of spunk, young-spirited and a witty sense of humor. After a short conversation with Carol, you felt like you’d known her forever. She touched the hearts of everyone she met.
Survivors include her two children: Michael Nuzum (Terrie) and Michelle Rohlk both of Sioux City; 7 brothers and sisters: Allan Nuzum (Joyce), Jack Nuzum (Shirley), Barbara Hargroves, Dale Nuzum, Joyce Williams (Gary), Pat Johnson (Ronald) and Diane Thiesen (Larry); 5 grandchildren: Brianna Witzka (Jeff), Calvin Rohlk (Katelyn) Nicole Nuzum, McKenna Nuzum and Amber Nuzum; 5 great grandchildren.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents and 9 brothers and sisters.
