Earl B. "Junior" Casaday

Earl B. “Junior” Casaday Jr., 27, of Tea, South Dakota formally of Sioux City passed away Thursday, March 8, 2018.

Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel with Chaplain (CPT) Cory Van Sloten officiating. Visitation with the family present will be from 4-8 P.M. and a Prayer Service at 7:00 P.M. Monday, March 12, 2018 at the funeral home. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery.

Junior was born November 22, 1990 in Sioux City, the son of Earl and Sandra (Rawlins) Casaday. He graduated from Lawton-Bronson High School in 2009.

While a junior in high school, Junior enlisted in the United States Army. He was a Citizen Soldier, trained as a Cavalry Scout for the Army Reserve and the Army National Guard. His awards include Army Reserve Components Achievement Medal, National Defense Service Medal, and Army Service Ribbon.

Junior also worked as a Diesel Mechanic. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, cooking, and working on his truck, but his number one priority was the military and his service to the nation.

Survivors include his father and step-mother, Earl (Mona) Casaday Sr. of Sioux City; his mother Sandra Casaday; children: Aidan and Kaylynn Casaday of Cherokee, IA; siblings: Cadence Casaday, Katie Rawlins, Chris Kelly, Cruise Kelly, Chad Kelly, and Kala (Sam) Hansen all of Sioux City; his paternal grandfather Don Casaday, his maternal grandmother Evelyn (Francisco) Mendoza; his maternal grandfather Albert Rawlins; various aunts and uncles; numerous cousins; and many many friends.

He was preceded in death by his uncle Frank Casaday, Great Grandmother Geraldine Casaday, and Great Grandfather Albert Rawlins.
