Milo E. "Bub" Carver

Milo Eugene “Bub” Carver, 52, of Sheldon, IA formerly of Sioux City passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, February 24, 2018 at Sanford Sheldon Hospital.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday, March 2, 2018 at Nelson-Berger Northside Chapel (822 Jennings St.) in Sioux City with Reverend Paul Van Maaren officiating.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Friday at the funeral home.

Milo, the son of Milo Gene and Katherine Loraine (Riley) Carver, was born October 6, 1965 in Fort Morgan, CO.  He grew up and attended school in Brush, CO.  In his early twenties, Milo moved to the Sioux City, IA area and was employed with John Morrell and then Tyson.  He was united in marriage to Janelle Marie Sorenson and this union was blessed with two sons.  Milo and Janelle later divorced and she preceded him in death on September 24, 2012.

Milo was currently employed with Rick’s Customs where he became the truck driver that he always wanted to be.

Milo loved life through and through.  He enjoyed bowling, baseball, racing, watching the Denver Broncos and last but not least, playing video games with his boys and grandsons.  Milo was your ultimate family man with a heart of gold.  His family meant the world to him.  His prize possessions were his motorcycle, pick-up truck and semi.  Above all, he was excited for the arrival of his soon to be granddaughter Nova.

Milo is survived by his children: Cassandra (Webster) Smith and husband Zach, Ricky Carver, Tyler Carver and Morgan Carver; three grandsons: Hunter, Huston and Haxton; his parents, Milo and Katherine Carver; two sisters: Ralinda (Carver) Hendrickson and husband Steve and Dee Carver; nieces; nephews; other relatives and special friend, Becky Hood.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Roy and Nellie Riley and Opal Mese; great - great grandmother, Grace Robison; and one aunt, Alden Maxwell; and close cousins.
