Don started working at a very young age to help his parents support their family. In 1971 he founded Micro Tower, Inc. for 47 years, Don ran a successful business building towers all around the world. He mostly employed family and close friends to help provide a great life for those he loved.

Don was known for his kind spirit, generous ways and loving heart. Some of his favorite hobbies were fishing, playing cards, gambling and playing the organ. He loved traveling, wintering with his wife in Florida, being on a cruise ship, but most importantly he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Survivors include his 4 daughters, Rhonda (Donald) Hughes of Sioux City, IA, Debbie (Ted) Schroeder of Riverland Estates, SD, Jodi (Derrick) Pfeil of Dakota Dunes, SD and Lori (Tom) Mace of Sioux City, IA; 9 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; 3 brothers, William (Cathy) Most of Tampa, FL, Loren (Julie) Most of Sioux City, IA and Dennis Most of McCook Lake, SD; 3 honorary brothers, John Cole, John Erickson and Jeff Hughes; and a number of, as he would say “adopted” children.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Judy; his grandson, Bryce; 3 brothers, Delbert, Kenneth and Darrel; and his sister, Patricia.

In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials in Don’s name to Hospice of Siouxland.
