Lucille M. Frank

Lucille M. Frank, 89, of Sioux City, passed away unexpectedly Friday, February 16, 2018. 

Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, February 21, 2018, at 1:30 PM at Memorial Park Cemetery.  Online condolences may be expressed at www.meyerbroschapels.com.

Lucille was born on July 9, 1928, in Ponca, NE., the only daughter born to Charles and Mary (Fisher) Curry and only sister to John, Frank, Bob, and Ronnie Curry.  She grew up in several small Nebraska communities before moving to Sioux City.  She spent countless hours with her cousin JoAnn at her grandparents’ business, Sunset Nursery, now the current site of A Step In Thyme Florals. 

Lucille married the love of her life, Vernon P. Frank, on February 15, 1952.  She worked briefly at Wincharger before becoming a full-time wife, homemaker, and mother to their 2 daughters, SuzAnn and Patti. Vernon passed away on April 12, 1972.  Her family was the complete focus of her life, and she of ours.

She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, SuzAnn and Steve Jansen of Sioux City, and Patti and Howard Goehring of Phoenix, AZ, granddaughters: Courtney Goehring (Fairfield, NE), Christi Goehring (Phoenix, AZ), Jenna Jansen (Sioux City), Josee Jansen (Iowa City), and great-granddaughter Rylee Nasser (Phoenix, AZ), brothers: Frank (Barb) Curry (Sioux City), Bob (Shirley) Curry (AL), and Terry (Liz) Curry (CO).

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Vern, and brothers John Curry (CA) and Ronnie Curry (Sioux City).
