John J. Aman, 76, of Sioux City, IA passed away peacefully at his care home on February 2, 2018.
Graveside memorial services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, February 7, 2018, at Memorial Park Cemetery. Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be expressed at www.meyerbroschapels.com,
John was born in Chicago, IL to John Aman and Lorraine (Pearson) Aman. He attended elementary school in Chicago and later moved to Redondo Beach, CA where he attended high school. John furthered his education and graduated from UCLA. He was employed with Allied Signals for many years where he was a project engineer and one of his many accomplishments was working on the space shuttle.
After retirement, he moved to Sioux City marrying Marsha Jarman in 2001.
His hobbies included reading, playing darts, and making beautiful stained glass.
Survivors include his wife Marsha Jarman of Sioux City; his daughter Kathy and Bruce Menshaw of Seattle, WA; stepchildren: Nichole Jarman of Sioux City and Tracey and Ken Nordstrom of Brookings SD, Asia Cook and Seth Aman both of Tuscon, AZ; mother-in-law Verda Diede of Sioux City; four sisters; one brother and many grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and stepson Kip Jarman.
