Carol Ann Kuehn, 80, of Sioux City, passed away Wednesday, January 17, 2018 peacefully with her family at her side after a seven year battle with COPD. Abiding by her wishes, her body will be cremated and there will be a Celebration of Life gathering from 2 to 4 P.M. Sunday, January 21, 2018 at the Corner Pocket, 2425 5th Street.
Carol was born the daughter of Robert and Ena Rosemary (Heidt) Cassity on January 15, 1938 in Denver, Colorado. She was raised in Idaho and Los Angeles, California where she met the love of her life, Robert Kuehn whom she married soon after. Robert passed away in 2003. Carol worked at the Sioux City Country Club as a bartender for many years until her retirement.
She enjoyed bowling with her friends, bingo, and dancing. She loved her family and her friends dearly.
Carol is survived by two daughters, Vickie Perera and her husband, Larry and Brea (Jim Merchant) Merchant; four grandchildren, Bobbi Jo Merchant, Caryl Jason Perera, Nicholas Perera, and Brandon Perera; five great grandchildren, Chase Kruse, Adrian Reyes, Kobe Merchant, Kai Merchant, and Ava Perera.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and grandson, Jimmer Merchant.
