Nancy Ann Mason, 79, passed away Friday, December 29, 2017 in Pinson, Alabama from a long battle with cancer.
Graveside services will be held at 1:30 P.M. Friday, January 12, 2018 at Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation with the family present will be from 11:00 A.M. – 1:30 P.M. Friday at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel.
Nancy was born on December 5, 1938 in Elk Point, SD, the daughter of Kenneth and Elsie (Hansen) Dillard. She owned and operated A-1 Van’s Uptown Florist for over 20 years and afterwards worked at Dalton’s Restaurant and Bar.
Nancy is survived by her nine children: Kathy (Frank) Yuppa, Albert VanMaanen Jr., Debbie (Mike) Corey, Sherry (Tom) Whitney, Larry (Maria) VanMaanen, Shelly (Grady) Malone, Steve (Dawn) VanMaanen, Callie (Jason) Denson, and Jeff VanMaanen; 19 Grandchildren; 24 Great Grandchildren; 1 Great Great Grandchild; two sisters: Sandra Love and Karen Wingert; a brother Bob Bennett; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her first husband Albert VanMaanen Sr., and her second husband Willis Mason.
