Fern Joann Lipinski, 76, of Sioux City passed away on Friday, November 24, 2017 at Westwood Specialty Care Center.
Fern was born on August 25, 1941. She was a schoolbus driver for many years, as well as a nanny for several years.
She enjoyed playing dice, word games, slots, cards, and shopping. Fern loved to give people a hard time, just for fun. Overall, she was a very brave and strong woman, and will be missed so very much.
Fern is survived by her husband of 61 years, Donald Lipinski; sister Janet Smith; son Jeff Lipinski; daughters, Shelly Joyce, Susan Alejo, and Lynn Green; grandchildren, Sarah King, Summer Alejo, Cassidy Alejo, Nicholas Samora, Arron Green and Blake Lipinski; great-grandchildren, Brightlyn Alejo and Adalynn King.
Do not think of Fern as gone away, her journey's just begun. Life holds so many faces, this Earth is only one. Just think of her as resting from the sorrows, pain, and tears, but in a place of warmth and comfort where there are no days or years.
Think how she must be wishing that we could know how nothing but our sadness can really pass away.
And think of her as living in the hearts of those she touched, for nothing loved is ever lost, and she is loved so very much.
