Cynthia Dawn Wareham, 52 of Sioux City passed away on Monday, November 6, 2017 at her residence after more than a 3 year battle with a brain tumor. Funeral services will be at 10:30 A.M. Sunday at the Seventh-day Adventist Church, 3636 Aspenwood St, Sioux City, IA 51104. Pastor Kent Dunwoody will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation with the family present will be from 6:00 – 8:30 P.M. Saturday with a prayer service at 7:00 P.M. at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Cindy was born September 17, 1965 in Sioux City, the daughter of Mark and Lois (Bailey) Van Tuyl. Cindy grew up in Sioux City and attended Sioux City Schools. In 1986 she graduated from WITCC with a degree nursing. During her 28 years in healthcare and business, Cindy worked for St. Luke’s Regional Medical Center, Recovery Health, Van Tuyl Contracting, and Home Healthcare. On May 26, 1991, she married Timothy Donald Wareham at the Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Sioux City. Cindy was an active member of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church; she ran the fruit program, served as church treasurer, as well as serving in many other positions. In her free time, Cindy enjoyed making baby blankets, cooking, and baking. Cindy is survived by her husband Timothy of Sioux City; her children, Kylie Wareham, Caleb Wareham and Molly Van Tuyl all of Sioux City; her brothers and sisters, Carol Sherburne (Wiley) of Tennessee, Marlene Finch of NE. Mark Van Tuyl (Linda) of N.C, Trish Garland (Gary) of WY, Karen O’Connor (Mark) of PA, Rick Van Tuyl of R.I., Steve Van Tuyl (Jo) of KS, Shelly Finley of IA, David Van Tuyl of IA, Nick Van Tuyl (Michelle) of IA, and Mark Lewis of Iowa; a sister in law: Linda Van Tuyl and numerous nieces and nephews. Cindy was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Thomas Van Tuyl.
