Corrine Dikeman

Corrine “Pat” Dikeman passed away Saturday October 21, 2017 at a Sioux City nursing home.

Visitation/Prayer Service will be 2:00 P.M. Thursday October 26, 2017.

Burial will take place in Memorial Park Cemetery on Friday November 24, 2017.

Corrine Van Waart was born April 10, 1925 in Sioux City Iowa the daughter of Peter and Johanna (Lynen) Van Waart. She attended Joy Elementary and graduated from Sioux City East High School. On September 17, 1949 in Sioux City she married Gerald E. Dikeman He preceded her in death on September 8, 2009 in Sioux City. She was employed with the Sioux City Community School’s Lunch Program before going to work for Bekins Warehouse as an office clerk, but favorite position as stay home mom.

Pat enjoyed cooking, baking, reading, sewing, mending, junking at thrift stores, gardening, later on learning to play the piano but most of all spending time with her grandson. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Sioux City.

Mrs. Dikeman is survived by her two daughters; Deanna Dikeman and her husband John Howe and their son Theron Howe of Columbia MO., Carol Dikeman and her husband Charles “Chuck” Collins of Lenexa, KS., one brother Leo Van Waart of Sioux City and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, four brothers; Joe, Hans, Peter, Henry along with two sisters; Marian and Margaret.
