Lynn A. O’Leary, 66, of Sioux City passed away Saturday, October 7, 2017 at a local hospital.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 A.M. Thursday, October 12, 2017 at St. Michael Catholic Church with Father Peter Nguyen officiating. Visitation with the family present will be from 9:00-10:30 A.M. Thursday at the church. Burial will be at Elk Point Cemetery. Online condolences may be given at www.meyerbroschapels.com.
Lynn was born October 18, 1950 in Sioux City, the daughter of Leo Daniel and Frances Joyce (Valle) O’Leary. She graduated from Heelan High School in 1968 and attended the University of Missouri in Kansas City, earning her Master’s Degree in Psychology.
Lynn worked briefly in the psychology field. She enjoyed reading, watching TV, and spending time with her little dog Jenny.
Lynn is survived by her siblings: Sr. Kathleen O’Leary FEHJ, James Daniel O’Leary, Charles Thorn O’Leary, Theresa Marlane Hill, Terrance Martin O’Leary, Thomas Matthew (Shirley) O’Leary, and Stephen Anthony (Patricia) O’Leary; two nieces: Molly (Cody) Korthals and Erin (Michael) Olson; one great nephew and one on the way; and several cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, infant sister Frances Valle O’Leary, and an aunt and uncle.
