Ted Kevin McManigal, 63, of Sioux City, passed away Thursday, September 21, 2017, at his home following a brief illness. Services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 25, 2017, at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel with son-in-law Chad Springer officiating. Burial will follow in the Floyd Township Cemetery in rural Bronson, Iowa. Visitation will be at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, September 25, at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. He was born August 22, 1954, to Hillard and Vera McManigal of Sioux City, Iowa. Ted graduated from West High School in 1973. He started working for Chesterman’s Bottling Company when he was 16 years old, and continued there for 43 years. The last 26 years, he was the Warehouse Manager. In 2016 he became a driver for Bomgaars. Ted loved the outdoors and enjoyed studying birds and nature. He drove a Sunday school bus for 25 years and taught the 3rd grade boys Sunday school class.
He is survived by his wife Sandy, daughter Kris (Chad) Springer of Council Bluffs; sons Jason (Jackie) of Bronson, and Mike of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; three granddaughters, Jaylen, Danica, and Mia; siblings Terry (Pat) McManigal of South Sioux City, Nebraska, Gloria (Eugene) Means of Sioux City, Iowa, Tim (Marlene) McManigal of Omaha, Nebraska, Lanny (Stephanie) McManigal of Sioux City, and Kim (Janice) McManigal of Kemp, Texas; and many nieces and nephews.
Ted was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Jon, and his sister Gayle.
