Connie Jo Peterson

Connie Jo Peterson, 63, of Sergeant Bluff, IA died Monday, September 11, 2017, at a Sioux City hospital.

Cremation will take place and a memorial service will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at Morningside Assembly of God (4310 Old Lakeport Rd.) in Sioux City with Pastor Johnny Helton officiating.  No visitation is planned.  Nelson-Berger Northside Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Connie Jo Peterson was born May 28, 1954 in Merced, CA to Harry Duane and Shirley May (Johnson) Peterson.  She grew up in Iowa, Texas, Germany and Colorado.  Connie graduated from Lincoln Business School with a paralegal degree.  She had made her home in Florida and Minnesota for a time.

Connie worked for Poss-Todd Chiropractic for 10 years then Goodwill and the Boys and Girls home and later for Esurance.  Connie enjoyed scrapbooking.

Connie is survived by her son, Jake Peterson of Sgt. Bluff, IA; two sisters: Barb McClure of Laurel, MS and Laurie Amick of Sioux City; 8 nieces and nephews; 4 great nieces and nephews; various aunts; uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Debra Stone.
