Nancy M. Wheeler, 62, of Sioux City passed away Sat., Sept. 9, 2017 at her home.
Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 23, 2017 at Radiant Life Community Church with Pastor Doug Collins officiating. Visitation with the family will be the hour prior to the service at church. Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel is handling arrangements. Condolences may be offered online at www.meyerbroschapels.com.
Nancy was born Dec. 8, 1954 in Sioux City to Jack F. and Dorothy J. (Joslin) Boulden. She graduated from North High School in 1974. On June 6, 1976, Nancy married James L. Wheeler. She was employed through the years at Woodbury Co. Home, Wells Fargo and Telco Triad.
Nancy enjoyed attending church activities, spending time with her grandchildren and neighborhood kids, and attending weekly meetings with friends of Bill W. She was a long time member of the Order of Eastern Star and ABATE of Iowa.
Survivors include her daughters, Margaret (Aaron) Newton and Jackie Wheeler of Sioux City; son, Bradley (Melody) Wheeler of Salix, IA; father, Jack Boulden of Sioux City; grandchildren, Ashton, Logan, Lathan, Lillian, Colton, Gracie and Cullen; brothers, Dennis (Lynn) Boulden of Sioux City, David (Lisa) Boulden of Kansas; sisters, Linda Bachand of Oregon, Kathy (Marcus) Peters of Omaha and Diane Wicklund of No. Dakota; 6 nieces and nephews; 2 great-nieces; close friends, Katie Brown, Sheri McKenzie, John Lee and Fred Gagnon; and her special canine friend, Annie.
She was preceded in death by her mother; Dorothy; former husband; James; brothers-in-law, Gail Bachand and Gene Wicklund.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials in her honor to Radiant Life Community Church.
