Larry Ringgenberg, 69, died unexpectedly on August 1, 2017, in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Funeral services will be 1 P.M. Saturday, August 5, 2017 at Whitfield United Methodist Church, 1319 W 5th Street, Sioux City, with cremation following the service. Visitation will begin at noon Saturday at the church.
Larry was born in Perry, Iowa, to Alvin and Edith Ringgenberg on December 28, 1947. He graduated from Central High School in 1966. Larry married Katherine Bell on May 8, 1993, enjoying nearly twenty-five years of marriage.
In his spare time, Larry was an avid fisherman and loved playing poker. He was well known in the gaming industry and worked in several casinos across the country. He also owned and operated Ringo’s Little Vegas and Ace’s Casino in Spokane Valley, Washington.
No one could light up the room the way Larry could. He was a very kind, caring husband and father. He was dearly loved by friends and family and will be greatly missed.
Larry is survived by his wife Katherine Bell Ringgenberg; sister Barb (Don) Mathews; brother Dennis (Kay) Ringgenberg; brother Lyle Ringgenberg; daughter Leann (Tim) Hicks; daughter Rhonda (Jerry) Yezek; daughter Michelle (Thomas) Clark; step-son Brian Van Voorst; and grandchildren Lauren and Trenton Hicks, Allison and Averi Yezek, and Michael, Daniel and Noah Clark.
Larry is preceded in death by his parents, Alvin and Edith Ringgenberg; and his step-son, Paul Van Voorst.
