Myrna Kroger, 90, formerly of Dell Rapids, South Dakota, passed away Friday, July 21, 2017 at Sunrise Retirement Community in Sioux City, Iowa. A graveside service at the Dell Rapids Cemetery will be Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Jay Denne officiating.
Myrna Marie Hink was born March 7, 1927, the daughter of Henry and Rose Marie (Studer) Hink at Raymond, South Dakota. She attended Raymond High School.
Myrna married Donald Francis Kroger on December 11, 1948. To this union, five children, Joe, Peggy, Laurie, LuAnne (Louie) and Jeffrey were born. They made their home in Dell Rapids, South Dakota. Don passed away April, 2009 after 60 years of marriage. Family and home were blessings that Myrna cherished and never took for granted. She worked tirelessly to provide a stable, comfortable home where her tidy house and perfect yard and gardens were her pride.
Myrna was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Don; brothers, Floyd and Beverly, and sisters, Anna, Florence and Evelyn. She is survived by children, Joe (Virginia) Kroger of Sioux Falls, Peggy (Ralph) Pulliam of Warrensburg, Missouri, Laurie (Edward) Bryant of Savannah, Georgia, Louie (Riley) Simpson of Sioux City and Jeff Kroger of Dell Rapids, nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and her little dog, Fritz.
Her flowers were a joy to Myrna throughout her life. In lieu of flowers for her now, please make contributions in her memory to Hospice of Siouxland.
