Tommy D. Archer, 72, of Sioux City, passed away Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at a local hospital.
Services will be held at 10:30 A.M. Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel. Visitation with the family present will be Monday, July 17, 2017 from 4:00-7:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Burial will be held at a later date.
Tommy was born August 18, 1944 in Sioux City, the son of Clarence “Dan” and Dorothy (Noble) Archer. Tommy grew up in Sioux City and graduated from Central High School.
He married Cheryl Haller on September 7, 1963 at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Sioux City. To this union, two sons were born.
Tommy worked in Sales for Metz Baking for 30 years and then worked for Mercy Medical Center for 10 years before retiring. His true love in life was his family and to joke and laugh with everyone that was around him. Everywhere he went, he told funny, if not a little inappropriate, jokes. His humor will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Survivors include his wife Cheryl Archer of Sioux City; his sons: Steve and Lisa of Sioux City and Kevin and Charity of Jefferson, SD; his two grandchildren: Bailey and Casey Richards, and Madison Archer.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
