Janet K. Erickson, 76, of Sioux City passed away Thursday, June 29, 2017 at her residence.
Memorial Services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Visitation with the family present will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery.
Janet was born October 10, 1940 in Sioux City, the daughter of Bernard and Aurora (Afzelius) Graves. She married Lawrence “Larry” Erickson on August 27, 1960 in Sioux City. He preceded her in death on January 5, 2001.
Janet worked for JCPenney department store for a number of years before retirement. She enjoyed crafts and cross stitching and stayed busy with her weekly outings for her many beloved groups including Bingo, Dominos, Cards, and Tuesday Lunch Groups. She was a member of the Eastern Star Azure Chapter 540 and a former member of Mayflower Congregational United Church of Christ.
Survivors include her daughter Lynette (Dean) Lambing of Sioux City; her son Chris Erickson of Denver, CO; grandchildren: Abigail Erickson and her mother Tara Hansen, Ashley (Alex) Baker, and Levi (Madeline) Lambing; Great Grandchildren: Ava and Arynn Baker; and brother Gary (Linda) Graves of Sioux Falls, SD.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Larry.
