Rose L. Brown, 61, of Sioux City passed away Saturday, June 17, 2017 at Kingsley Specialty Care in Kingsley, Iowa. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 A.M. Thursday, June 22, 2017 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Sioux City with Father Armand J. Bertrand officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, June 21, 2017 from 4-8 P.M. with the family present from 6-8 P.M. and a Vigil Service at 7:00 P.M. at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery. Online condolences may be given at www.meyerbroschapels.com. Rose was born November 8, 1955 in Sioux City, the daughter of Melvin Enders and Rita Rose (Adams) Meyers. Her lifelong career of nursing was perfectly paired with her loving and caring personality. She worked at Mercy Medical Center, Casa De Paz, and Mid-step. She enjoyed music, reading, and spending time with her family. Rose’s faith was very important to her as was her 2nd family at the Kingsley Specialty Care Center, where she enjoyed bowling, bingo, and the Red Hat’s Society. Rose is survived by her children: Reverend Chad M. Brown of Phoenix, AZ, Stephanie R. Langhorst and husband Shawn of Sioux City, and Angela C. McCoy and husband Kyle of Kingsley, IA; Eight grandchildren: Morgan, Emilio, Anna, Eva, Marresa, Matthew, Lilly, and Alexander; siblings: Helen K. Horton of Sioux City, Michael A. Meyers of Sergeant Bluff, Timothy L. Meyers and wife Cindi of Sioux City, and Teresa L. Honeycutt and husband Terry Sr. of Sioux City; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents Melvin and Rita Meyers, siblings: Mary Rita, Joan Marie, Betty Ann Allen, Lisa Marie, John Thomas, Phillip Douglas and three other infant siblings, a nephew Jason Olson, and maternal and paternal grandparents: Clarence and Mary Adams and Milton and Alberta Meyers both of Ponca.
