Jimmie V. Bloyer, 69, of Sioux City, formerly of Schaller, IA passed away Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at a Sioux City Nursing Home.

Services for Jim will be held at 4:00 P.M. Sunday, June 18, 2017 at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel.  Visitation with the family present will be held one hour prior to the service.  Services will also be held at 4:00 P.M. Saturday, June 24th, 2017 at the Fratzke Jensen Funeral Home in Schaller, Iowa. Visitation with the family present will be held one hour prior to the service at the Funeral Home.

Jimmie was born November 28, 1947 in Schaller, IA, the son of Raymond “Jake” and Mary (Stevenson) Bloyer. He married Lola Adams on August 16, 1985 in Denison, IA. Jimmie worked as the manager for Tallview Terrace from 1987-2002 and then worked for St. Luke’s Hospital and at the Federal Building before retirement. In his younger years, Jim played in a band with his brother Jerry and had a wonderful singing voice.

He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed hunting, but his greatest love was spending time with his grandchildren. Many of Jim’s friends admired how he treated everyone equally and with a big heart.

Jim is survived by his wife Lola Bloyer of Sioux City; children: Rusty (Adriana) Dungan, Robin (Gene) Edwards, Tracy “Jake” (Jennifer) Sanders, and Amanda Aspholm; grandchildren: Jessica, Tamera, Alan, Alicia, Ozzy, Draken, Gavin, Shana, Troy, Anthony, Brianna, Miranda, and Kayla; sisters: Julie Fiedler and Janet Bloyer; and brothers: Jerry Bloyer and Jay Bloyer.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Judy, and mother in law Lois Adams.
