Jane L. Stevens

Jane L. Stevens, 66 of Sioux City passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, May 25, 2017 at a Sioux City Hospital.

Memorial services will be at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, June 1, 2017 at Central Baptist Church. Rev. Lloyd Grant will officiate. Burial of the cremated remains will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation with the family present will be from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. Wednesday at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel.

Jane was born March 12, 1951 in Sioux City; she was the daughter of Archie and Margaret (Hey) Whitlock. Jane grew up in Sioux City and attended St. Boniface Grade School and then graduated from Heelan High School in 1969. Jane graduated from St. Vincent’s School of X-Ray Technology in July of 1970.

On July 3, 1971 Jane married Mark Stevens in Watertown, SD.

Jane held various positions in the medical field with St. Luke’s Medical Center, Mercy Medical Center and Hospice of Siouxland.

She was a member of Central Baptist Church, the Bible Study Fellowship and a sewing group. Jane did volunteer work with Hospice of Siouxland and Her Health.

Survivors include her husband Mark of Sioux City; 4 children: Nickie Gardiner (GR), Mark Stevens, Jr (Adrienne Libke), Lyle Stevens (River) and Preston Stevens all of Sioux City; 2 sisters: Christine Loschen (Jurgen) of Hastings, NE and Eileen Berry of Sioux Falls, SD; 5 grandchildren: Cassidy, Brianna and Megan Gardiner, Hannah Stevens and Isabel Libke.

Jane was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Mary Whitlock.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Hospice of Siouxland or Her Health.
