Mike Stauber, 47, of Sergeant Bluff, passed away Monday, May 22, 2017 at a local hospital.

Services will be held at 9:30 A.M. Thursday, May 25, 2017 at Immaculate Conception Church with Father Armand Bertrand officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, May 24, 2017 from 4-8 P.M. with the family present from 6-8 P.M. and a Vigil Service at 7:00 P.M. at Immaculate Conception Church. Burial will be at Arlington Cemetery in Moville, Iowa. Online condolences may be given at www.meyerbroschapels.com.

Mike was born February 5, 1970 in Sioux City, the son of Larry and Merideth (Miller) Stauber. He graduated from Lawton-Bronson High School in 1988, double checking his diploma to make sure it was signed! Mike raced at Park Jefferson Speedway from 1988-1989. He worked at Midwest Fly Ash at Port Neal before running Stauber Construction from 1996-2013. In July of 2013 Mike went to work for the City of Sioux City, where he made numerous close friends.

Mike enjoyed camping and riding his Harley with his wife Heather, mowing his yard, and playing with his dog Cooper. He was also known for being one good cook.

Survivors include his wife Heather of Sergeant Bluff; son CJay of Sioux City; step son Colte of Colorado; father Larry Stauber of Sioux City; sisters: Judi (Rick) Certain of Sioux City and Susan (Dave) Rodd of Rapid City, SD; Mother-in-law and Father-in-law Coleen and Dennis Rose of Sioux City; Brother-in-law Brad (Val) Rose of Lawton, IA; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews; and his beloved dog Cooper.

He was preceded in death by his mother Merideth, paternal and maternal grandparents, and numerous aunts and uncles.

Mike was a Harley Tshirt and Jeans kind of guy, we welcome you to dress like Mike and ride your bike!
