Teresa Ann DenHartog, 49, of Sioux City passed away unexpectedly Monday, May 15, 2017 at a local hospital.
Services will be held at 10:30 A.M. Friday, May 19, 2017 at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel with Reverend David Carlson officiating. Visitation with the family present will be Thursday, May 18, 2017 from 5-7 P.M. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery.
Teresa was born on April 22, 1968 in Sioux City, the daughter of Gilbert and Marsha (Davis) DenHartog. Teresa graduated from West High School in 1986 and began studies for Secretarial work at WITCC. She worked in customer service calls at MCI, but with her many health concerns, Teresa was forced to go on disability.
Although Teresa did not graduate from Central High School, she was an active volunteer for the Castle on the Hill Association, in memory of her mother, Marsha, who graduated from Central High. She also volunteered for the All School Reunions, and was involved in a cooking club. Most important to her was her beloved cat Freya.
Survivors include her brother Gilbert “Denny” DenHartog of Sioux City; Aunts & Uncles: Shirley McLeod of Sioux City, Janice Kipf of Oklahoma; Ronald (Nancy) Davis of Sioux City, Sharon (Richard) Karrer of Sioux City, and Pamela (Kevin) Cook of Sioux City; many cousins; and her beloved furball Freya.
She was preceded in death by her Parents, Grandparents, Uncle Richard Kipf, and Aunt Cindy Davis.
