Doris M. Casotti, 87 of Sioux City passed away unexpectedly on Friday, May 5, 2017 at her residence.
Services will be at 7:00 P.M. Thursday at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel. Rev. Kenny Hsu will officiate. Graveside services will be at 11:00 A.M. Friday at Fort Dodge Memorial Park Cemetery in Fort Dodge, IA. Visitation with the family present will be from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home. Online condolences may be sent to

Doris was born March 28, 1930 in Pilot Mound, IA; she was the daughter of Bert F. and Alice M. (Stone) Raisbeck. Doris grew up in Pilot Mound and graduated from Pilot Mound Community High School. She married Alfred B. Casotti in 1948 in Spencer, IA. Alfred passed away July 23, 1975 in Omaha, NE.
Doris lived in Fort Dodge, IA for many years before coming to Sioux City. While living in Fort Dodge, Doris was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Sioux City.
Doris was an artistic cake decorator for Randall’s Grocery in Fort Dodge for many years. She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, cooking and baking.
Survivors include her children: Steven Casotti (Beth) of Atlanta, GA, and Joni Perera (Ken) of Sioux City; a daughter-in-law: Carol Casotti of Sioux City; 7 grandchildren: John Casotti (Kristin), Luke Casotti (Stephanie), Amber Litwiller (Dave), Morgan Felker (Jeremy), Brooklyn Jansen (Chris), Trevor Perera and Kyle Perera; 7 great grandchildren: Carter Casotti, Madelyn Casotti, Jocelyn Litwiller, Sophia Casotti, Benjamin Casotti, Kemper Jansen and Bryn Jansen. Doris was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Alfred; 2 sons: Michael and Alan Casotti and Alan’s wife Tammy; 2 sisters: Irene Bishop and Audrey Randrop; 2 brothers: Thomas Raisbeck and Leon Raisbeck.
