Sarahjo Edna Hamilton, 41 of Sioux City, entered into eternal life on Monday, May 8, 2017 at a local care facility. Memorial Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 12, 2017 at the Bethel Baptist Church with interment to follow at the Dakota City Cemetery. Visitation, with the family present, will be one hour prior to services at the church. Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.'
Sarahjo was born on June 25, 1975 in Sioux City, Iowa to David P. and JoAnn E. (Gwin) Hamilton. She received her education at East High School in Sioux City. She was married for a short time to Oracio Alderete, and has two sons, Theodore J. Hamilton, and Oracio D. Alderete of Sioux City. She was a preschool teacher, a waitress, and a sales associate before her health required her to leave the workforce. Sarahjo was a loving mother to her boys, and she enjoyed collecting elephants and anything relating to Marilyn Monroe.
Sarahjo is survived by her sons; father David P Hamilton of Dakota City, Nebraska; sisters Diana Garcia and her husband Antonio Garcia-Nunez of Sioux City, and Dana Padron and her husband Martimiano of Sioux City; brother David Hamilton Jr. and his wife Norigen of Ankeny, Iowa; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Sarahjo was preceded in death by her mother JoAnn in July of 2016, sister Honey Maria Hamilton, and both sets of maternal and paternal grandparents.
