Keith Dwayne Howard, 62, of Dakota Dunes, SD passed on at a local hospital in Sioux City, IA on Saturday, April 15, 2017. A Graveside Service will be held at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at Logan Park Cemetery with a Memorial Service to follow at 11:00 A.M. at First United Methodist Church (1915 Nebraska Street, Sioux City) with Reverend Roger Madden officiating. Visitation will be Monday, April 17, 2017 from 5-8 P.M. with family present from 6-8 P.M. and a Prayer Service at 7:00 P.M. at First United Methodist Church. Burial will be at Logan Park Cemetery. Keith was born November 23, 1954 in Sioux City, IA to Dr. Dwayne and Eugenia Howard. He was a graduate of North High School and the University of South Dakota. In 1978 Keith married his middle school sweetheart Janice Fornia in Sioux City. Keith was passionate about his work as a farmer and realtor and found great joy in helping people find a home. Outside of work Keith was a member and past president of the Sooland Antique Car Club, board member of the McCook Lake Association, and on the board of directors for the Boys and Girls Club. Keith was active at First United Methodist Church and served and chaired numerous committees, was a 38 year member of the Jubilate Choir, and a certified lay speaker. In 2014, Keith was awarded the Good Neighbor Award by the Iowa Association of Realtors. His hobbies included waterskiing, camping trips with his family, and restoring antique cars. Keith is survived by wife Janice of Dakota Dunes, SD, sons Adam Howard (Audra) of Medicine Lake, MN; Dr. Kevin Howard of Plymouth, MI, mother Eugenia Howard, brother Dr. David Howard (Diana), sister Barbara LeMoine (Gary), granddaughter Carolyn Joy. He was preceeded in death by his father Dr. Dwayne Howard and brother James Howard. The family would like to thank the staff on fourth floor at St. Lukes Hospital, Dr. Nancy Schenk, and all of the medical staff that served Keith for the compassionate and thoughtful care they provided. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Boys and Girls Club of Siouxland or First United Methodist Church, Sioux City.
