Ralph A. Wilson, 88, of Sioux City passed away Monday, March 13, 2017 at his residence.

Services will be held at 10:30 A.M. Friday, March 17, 2017 at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel with Reverend Martha Anderson officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 4:00-8:00 P.M. with the family present from 6:00-8:00 P.M. and a prayer service at 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Graveside Services with Military Honors will be at Memorial Park Cemetery.

Ralph was born May 24, 1928 in Washington, IN the son of Dallas and Vonda (Ledgerwood) Wilson. He enjoyed working on family farms while growing up. Ralph was united in marriage to Jeanette O’Donnell on January 13, 1951 in Sioux City. Ralph then was drafted into the United States Army and served in the Korean War from 1951-1953, before being honorably discharged. He was a proud member of the VFW Post 1973 and the American Legion Monahan Post 64 in Sioux City, the Union 222 and a faithful member of Trimble United Methodist Church.

Ralph worked for IBP for 37 years before retirement. He was a true handyman, and able to fix anything, loved talking to people, and enjoyed watching NASCAR.

Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Jeanette Wilson; Sons: Mike (Cindy) Wilson of Sioux City and Randy (JoAnn) Wilson of Tennessee; 6 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; brother Bill Wilson of Kingsley, IA; sister Juanita of Indiana; and brothers and sisters in law: Jim O’Donnell, Tom O’Donnell, Marty Meisner, Charlene Kirk, Carla Schlines, Gerri O’Donnell, and Marilyn O’Donnell.

He was preceded in death by his parents, son Joe in 2003, twin brothers Marvin and Marlin, and a brother Earl.
