Mark A. Lehmann, 63, of Sioux City passed away Friday March 3, 2017 at a Sioux City hospital. Memorial services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday March 9, 2017 at Trinity Lutheran Church with the Rev. R. Paul Johnston officiating.
Visitation will be one hour prior to service time at the church.
Mark Lehmann was born October 12, 1953 in San Diego, Ca in Balboa Naval Hospital the son of Donald and Barbara (Anderson) Lehmann. He attended Sioux City Community Schools and graduated from Sioux City Central High School and Western Iowa Tech Community College. Mr. Lehmann was employed in sales where he sold office supplies.
When not working, Mark loved to play his trumpet and played in various bands and was inducted into the Iowa Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. At an early age, Mark was known for playing Taps on his trumpet. Along with his trumpet music Mark was a huge Beatles fan and loved listening to their music. As a child, he loved to play baseball and competed in the Soap Box Derby winning the Sioux City competition and going on to compete nationally in Akron, Ohio. Later in adult life Mark love to play pool and won many trophies from tournaments around the Siouxland area. Mark also had a love for golf and recorded two hole-in-ones. Mark was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church where he celebrated his confirmation.
Mark is survived by; his parents, sister Julie Lehmann of Sioux City; brother Blake Lehmann and his children Trace and Sloane of Overland Park, KS. and special friend his dog Harley.
Mark was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents.
