Jaxon Xavier Vondrak

Jaxon Xavier Vondrak, 2 month old son of Josh and Haley Vondrak passed away on Sunday, February 5, 2017 at Children’s Hospital in Omaha following a courageous battle with a congenital heart defect.  Although he was only able to grace us with his presence on this earth for a short time, he made a lifelong impact on those around him.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 A.M. Friday at St. Michael Catholic Church. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation with the family present will be from 5:00 – 8:00 P.M. Thursday with a Vigil service at 7:00 P.M. Thursday all at the Church.

Arrangements are under the direction of Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. 

Jaxon was born November 26, 2016 in Sioux City; he was the son of Josh and Haley (Carlson) Vondrak.

Survivors include his parents: Josh and Haley Vondrak of Sioux City; his sister Kyley Vondrak and his brother Landon Vondrak both at home; maternal grandparents Lisa and Dave Cline of Sioux City; paternal grandparents Daniel Vondrak of Sioux City and Dee Vondrak of Sioux City; maternal great grandparents Norman and Georgetta Hoopingarner of Sioux City and Viola Cline of Sioux City; paternal great grandparents JoAnn Vondrak of Sioux City and Bill and Brenda Johnson of Wilmer, AL. Jaxon is also survived by aunts, uncles and cousins.

Jaxon was preceded in death by his paternal great grandfather Gilbert “Gib” Vondrak and maternal great grandparents George and Lois Carlson and Clarence Cline.
