Brenda Kay Hoffman, 49, of North Sioux City passed away Tuesday, January 31, 2017.

Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, February 4, 2017 at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel with Reverend John Hansen officiating. Visitation with the family present will be Friday, February 3, 2017 from 4:00-8:00 P.M. with the prayer service at 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Gravesides services will be held at 4:00 P.M. Saturday at Graceland Cemetery in Corsica, South Dakota. Following the Graveside, the family will be receiving friends at Community Building in Corsica. Brenda was born January 26, 1968 in Sioux City, the daughter of Richard Lee and Marlene (Muilenburg) Hoffman. Brenda grew up in Sioux City and graduated from West High School in 1987. She was employed at Panera Bread in Sioux City on Lakeport Commons. Brenda was a strong, beautiful, and wonderful daughter, sister, mother, and grandmother. She loved the outdoors, camping, fishing, and anything to be with her family. Brenda never missed any family events, in fact she was the best and the head of all family events and get-togethers. Brenda loved country music and sporting events “GO PACK GO!”

Survivors include her four children: Toi Hoffman and her fiancé Shamus Boland, Treg and Tanika Hoffman, Hilary Lee and her fiancé Derek Reed, and Haylee Lee and special friend Ray Oropeza; her mother Marlene and husband Mike Hettinger of Mitchell, SD; three brothers: Brian Hoffman of Sergeant Bluff, Dan Hoffman and fiancé Jackie Cole of Sioux City, and Derrick Groves and girlfriend Chelsea Seligmann of Loveland, CO; eight grandchildren: Jadyn, Javon, Brody, Tegen, Breazi, Kaden, Brayden, and Hadley; Grandmother Wanda Hoffman of Stickney, SD; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father Richard Lee Hoffman in 1980, nephew Jordan Hoffman, and grandparents Clarence, Mary, Peter, and Gertrude.
