Chet San

   Chet San, 66, of Sioux City, Iowa, passed away on January 23, 2017, at a local hospital. Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM on Saturday, January 28, 2017, at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel, with visitation on Saturday from 10:00 AM until service time.    Chet San, daughter of Lors Pen and Em Sam, was born August 5, 1950, in Battambong, Cambodia., where she grew up in a farming family. Her family then made their home in Thailand from 1979 to 1985, at which time they immigrated to the state of Iowa in the United States. Chet lived in Storm Lake for one year before settling in Sioux City where she worked for Iowa Beef Processors until 1987 when she became a stay-at-home mom. In 1994, she returned to work, this time at Interbake Foods from which she retired in 2015.

   Chet enjoyed going to the Hard Rock, fishing, gardening, and traveling back to Cambodia.

   Chet is survived by a daughter Vibol San; a son Rattana San; a sister Moek San; a God son Sayha Thach; and other immediate family in Cambodia. She was preceded in death by her parents and an older sister Erm Lors.
