Dianne Schubert

September 3, 1940 — January 9, 2017

Dianne Schubert, 76, of Sioux City, Iowa, passed away on Monday, January 9, 2017, at her home. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM, on Saturday, January 21, 2017, at Southern Hills Baptist Church. Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel is in charge of arrangements. Dianne, daughter of Vern and Amelia (Hanson) Carlson, was born September 3, 1940, in Wakefield, Nebraska. She graduated from Wakefield High School.

On September 11, 1960, Dianne was united in marriage with Marvin Schubert in Wakefield. Two children were born to this union. Dianne and Marvin first made their home in Sioux City where she worked at Younkers. From 1964 to 1968, they lived in Breckenridge, Colorado, and returned to the area and lived in South Sioux City, Nebraska until settling in Sioux City, Iowa in 1970. Dianne worked in housekeeping at Morningside College for 20 years before taking a position with Tip Top Tux from 2006 to 2016.

Dianne was a member of Southern Hills Baptist Church.

Dianne is survived by her husband Marvin Schubert; a son Keith (Jamie) Schubert; three grandchildren: Kayla, Kolten and Jordyn; two brothers: David Carlson and Dennis (Ellen) Carlson; other in-laws and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Marvin’s parents and a daughter Kelly Schubert.
